The Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa, Calif. willreopen with a newly renovated audio system. The venue’s new P.A.includes a Meyer speaker system with components controlled by an XTADP6i Audio Installation Controller (pictured right), which was chosenby audio consultant G. Thomas Clark of Artec Consultants in New YorkCity. The installation was handled by Thomas Gregor Associates of ElSegundo, Calif.
The new self-powered Meyer system includes Meyer’s MILO andM2D line arrays, along with MSL-4, CQ-1, UPA, and UPM enclosures.
The XTA DP6i unit has two inputs and six outputs, both of which havean 8-band parametric equalizer, base delay, and gain control. Alloutputs feature crossover filters, 5-band parametric equalizer, highand low shelving filters, limiter, and delay. Full metering is providedfor inputs and outputs, with a mute button for instant system controlin emergencies. Up to 32 DP6i’s can be controlled from a singlePC with XTA’s AudioCore Windows® control software, with theability for further units to shadow those 32 ID numbers for anunlimited number of system outputs.
