O’Henry Sound Studios has purchased and installed its third Lexicon 960L Multi-Channel Digital Effects System into the new brand-new, multiconfigurable studio, which opened earlier this year. The first client to use the new studio was producer Dallas Austin.
The new studio also boasts a Pro Tools system and a Yamaha digital console.
Commenting on the Lexicon purchase, owner Hank Sanicola said, “The 960L offers users a lot of power and a lot of DSP with many effects. That allows us to keep the new studio relatively uncluttered, which helps clients reconfigure it to their specific needs. When we installed our first 960L, we knew people would take time to get used to it, because they were so familiar with the 480L. As it turned out, engineers adapted to the 960L very quickly, and we’ve found the 960L is even better-sounding: more resolution and depth, and more processing power. Having one in every room pretty quickly became the thing to do.”
