Recording Academy New York Chapter Presents “5.1—The Future Meets the Past”

Five-time Grammy-winning engineer/producer Elliot Scheiner will present “5.1—The Future Meets the Past,” on March 25, 2002, at 6:30 p.m. at The Hit Factory in New York City.

Noted music journalist Howard Massey will moderate the special workshop and demonstration on surround sound recordings, focusing on the technology as it has been applied to classic albums by Steely Dan, The Eagles and the much anticipated Queen classic A Night at the Opera, which will be premiered following the workshop. Tickets are $20 for members and $30 for non-members, and are only available in advance through the New York Chapter office. For tickets, please call 212/245-5440.
