Reelsound Recent Concert Recordings

The English group "Floetry" and Dreamworks Records called on Reelsound's (Buda, Texas) mobile audio studio to record their concert at the House of Blues in New Orleans

The English group “Floetry” and Dreamworks Records called onReelsound’s (Buda, Texas) mobile audio studio to record their concertat the House of Blues in New Orleans, which will result in a DVD, CDand new video single from the group. Engineering audio was MalcolmHarper, assisted by Greg Klinginsmith and Gene Krieger, whileDreamworks’ Frances Pennington and director Jim Gabour of MovingPictures in New Orleans were on hand.

The truck was back in Texas for a live broadcast and recording ofKenny Loggins at the 4th of July Freedom Festival in downtown Houston.Harper mixed the live show and was assisted by Klinginsmith and WillHarris.

Dick Clark Productions used the Reelsound mobile audio truck for the2003 American County Music Awards Show segment of the Dixie Chicksbroadcast from their Austin, Texas, concert. Jay Vicari and FredRemmert with producer Lloyd Maines mixed the song “Godspeed” for theiruplink to the award show. The Reelsound crew assisting was Harper,Krieger, Gerard Bustos, Gordon Garrison, Bob Corneilus and CarlHarper.

Speedwayfilms and DreamWorks Records called on Reelsound to recordthe All American Rejects for a new DVD release. The show was recordedat the historic Brady Theater in Tulsa, Okla., and directed by AtomRothlein. The band’s producer Tim O’Heir and Harper engineeredthe recording to 48 tracks of RADAR recorders, and were assisted byKliningsmith, Krieger and Harris.
