SADiE, in conjunction with audio restoration specialists CEDARAudio, has announced the release of CEDAR Retouch™ Version 2 forSADiE.
As a direct result of customer feedback, an audio preview facilityhas been added in V. 2, which offers the ability to audition theprocessed audio within the Retouch window without the need to write theprocess back to the playlist to determine the result. As such, a numberof Retouch processes can be performed over the same section of audioand auditioned one by one until the process is completed. Anothersignificant addition is the ability to load a full minute of audiomaterial into Retouch to greatly increase workflow by avoiding thenecessity to select multiple regions of audio and treat themindividually.
CEDAR Retouch V. 2 for SADiE processes at 64-bit resolution and iscompatible with 96kHz digital audio. Its graphical tools allow theoperator to identify both the temporal and spectral content of theunwanted sounds. These unwanted sounds are then replaced with audioderived from the surrounding signal, with no adverse effect on thedesired recording. Retouch V. 2 complements the CEDAR DeNoise, DeClick,DeCrackle and DeThump processes.
