Second Annual G.A.N.G. Award Winners Announced

The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) presented the Second Annual G.A.N.G. Awards Show on Thursday, March 25, during the 2004 Game Developers Conference

The Game Audio Network Guild (G.A.N.G.) presented the Second Annual G.A.N.G. Awards Show on Thursday, March 25, during the 2004 Game Developers Conference (GDC). Awards were given in 31 categories, including Overall, Music, Sound Design, Voice Acting, Industry and Trade, and Recognition.

Activision’s “Call of Duty” (Chuck Russom, Jack Grillo, sound design) took the Overall category, Best Handheld Audio went to Electronic Arts’ “007: Everything or Nothing” (Ian Stocker, Composer/Sound Designer), and Shiny Entertainment (www.shiny.com) walked away with Best Website Audio.

The awards show featured live musical performances, including a classic videogame medley by Dweezil Zappa. The show’s audio was produced in Pro Logic II surround sound, which was provided by Dolby.
