Studer announced the availability of Version 3.3 software for itsentire range of large-format digital consoles using the D950 processingcore: the D950 M2, Vista 6 (pictured, top) and Vista 7 (pictured,bottom). The new features offered by Version 3.3 vary depending on thedesk type and its existing feature set, but all three consoles benefitby having improved snapshot facilities in Static mode, an Undo functionfor snapshot recall, snapshot crossfades over any interval up to 100seconds and protection against accidentally changing patchedconnections.

Both the Vista 6 live broadcast console and the Vista 7 productionconsole additionally benefit from a multi-operator facility option, aclipboard library, allowing individual settings or whole channels to bestored, and an elegant snapshot preview function that enables theoperator to compare an upcoming snapshot simultaneously with thecurrent settings. For both consoles, the static automation facilitiesare extended to include snapshot filtering, trim and partial consolesnapshots, as well as the option to show an enlarged display of anycurrently touched control on the Vistonics™ panel. Clipboardlibraries, such as frequently used EQ or dynamics settings, can bestored to a removable CD-R, and an important new feature on the Vista 7is the provision of a PEC/DIR-style function, which allows monitoringof multiple stem mixes.
