The new NX-100 is a hardware codec that converts analog audiosignals to TCP/IP-based Ethernet format for transport and routing overexisting LANs and WANs, including the Internet.

The NX-100 can transport variable bandwidth bi-directional audio, upto 14 kHz, as well as serial RS-232 and contact closure data. Eachhalf-rack-sized unit includes a balanced mic/line input and output anda 10/100BaseT Ethernet jack for connection to standard networkhardware. The rear panel includes eight programmable trigger inputs toinitiate and terminate audio transmissions, eight programmable opencollector control outputs and an RS-232 serial port for datatransmission/reception. The NX-100 also has a built-in Web server tosupport browser-based programming, control and monitoring from anynetwork-connected PC. Other features include multiple error-correctionmodes, external 24-VDC input and Flash-upgradeable firmware. TOA backsup the new NX-100 with a five-year warranty.
