Vienna Symphonic Library Premieres Tonight

The Society of Composers & Lyricists and Truespec Systems willpresent the world premiere of the Vienna Symphonic Library Pro Editiontonight at the Los Angeles Film School in Hollywood from 6:30 p.m. to9:30 p.m.

From 6:30 p.m. to 7:15 p.m., events include a tech talk with JEHartwick and Bruce Williams, chief of technology for Truespec Systemsto discuss Windows XP; a meeting with Pete Snell of Tascam (formerly ofSound Chaser) to discuss GigaStudio; a meeting with Gregory Butler ofNative Instruments to discuss Kontakt and other programs; GrammyAward-winning engineer Jeff Sheridan will demonstrate Samplitude andSequoia, used by VSL to record the VSL library; and a meeting withpresident Tom Sailor to discuss RME products.

From 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., events include Peter Alexander, authorof over 50 titles, discussing the important factors of where musicproduction technology is today, where it’s going and important trendsto watch for; an overview by Snell of what GigaStudio is, how it worksand issues for Mac users concerned about using Windows; a specialpresentation introducing attendees to the people who created the VSL,where and how it was created; and then the premiere of the ViennaSymphonic Library Pro Edition.

Special pricing on VSL, GigaStudio Libraries, GigaStudio and NativeInstruments products will be available to both SCL and G.A.N.G. membersthis night only. The event is free to members of the SCL; $15 fornonmembers; $10 for G.A.N.G. members; and $10 for students with validIDs.
