ULTRASONE AG will debut the newly designed HFI-650 and HFI-550 stereo headphones for recording engineers and music professionals at Winter NAMM. The headphones will be featured at the EARS Audio Distribution Booth, #6799.
The HFI-650 is a true closed-back, circumaural headphone that can be folded for compact storage and single-ear listening. Features include a highly accurate dynamic transducer and a frequency response of 10 Hz to 25 kHz. Impedance is 75 ohms, sensitivity at 94 dB, and is available with a coiled or straight 3m cable; also included is a new carry bag. Retail is $249; PROline, $299.
Ideal for drummers, bass players and DJs, the HFI-550 is a foldable, closed-back headphone designed with the musician, dance club engineer and broadcaster in mind, offering a tight and powerful bass, precise and detailed instrument placement, extreme isolation and an impressive power spectrum. Much like the HFI-650, the HFI-550 is also a circumaural headphone but has a more rugged (50mm Mylar) transducer with a lower impedance and improved sensitivity (SPL: 103 dB). Frequency response is 10 Hz to 22 kHz; impedance is 32 ohms; and the HFI-550 comes with a choice of a straight or coiled 3m cable; carry bag is included. Retail price is: $189; PROline, $239.
