At the top of a bluff overlooking the beach at Malibu, Calif., sits a newly opened (summer of 2006) house that sports a new recording studio that has seen the likes of Lauryn Hill, U2, Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. Created by John Storyk of the Walters Storyk Design Group, with additional design consultation by producer/engineer Eddie Kramer, the Document Room provides clients with a full range of recording, mixing, marketing, distribution, and music publishing and licensing services. Featuring Neve 8068 MK-1 and SSl XL900K consoles; Pro Tools HD Accel; G5 dual 2GHz processor; Studer 827 24-track; ADAM S4 speakers; Dynaudio C4s; and a host of outboard gear.
