Listen Technologies Appoints Ampetronic as Distributor for the UK

— Ampetronic establishes dedicated company, Ampetronic Assistive Listening, to distribute Listen Technologies’ assistive listening products in the UK —

BLUFFDALE, UTListen Technologies Corporation, a leading designer, manufacturer and supplier of assistive listening products for over 16 years, has appointed Ampetronic, the world’s leading Hearing Loop systems manufacturer and supplier, as its UK distributor through the formation of a new company, Ampetronic Assistive Listening. The appointment is effective October 1, 2015. Ampetronic will support and distribute Listen Technologies’ assistive listening solutions across all product categories and market sectors.

Ampetronic and Listen have a well-established alliance, with Listen distributing Ampetronic’s Hearing Loop products in the rapidly growing American market with great success for a number of years. By representing Ampetronic’s loop technology in the USA, Listen has been able to offer a full range of assistive listening systems that suit the wide range of different possible applications. Ampetronic Assistive Listening will now be able to offer a full array of technology solutions to the UK, including Listen’s advanced new iDSP product ranges.

“We’re really excited to be the ones to shine a light on Listen’s new products in the U.K., particularly the new Infra-Red solution [ListenIR] that we’ve seen in action and subjected to rigorous testing – it’s a class apart from what’s currently available in the market in terms of power and area coverage, and the new receivers produce a clear uninterrupted audio experience; in fact they’re so good you can use them to improve the performance of an existing installation,” said Ampetronic’s MD Julian Pieters.

“Hearing Loops have always been the go-to assistive listening application in the UK markets, as they are the most popular with telecoil-enabled hearing aid and cochlear implant users, who are in the majority in the UK,” said Listen Technologies CEO Russell Gentner. “However it is not always practical to install a Hearing Loop, and there are many scenarios where IR or FM is either more suitable or the only option. Ampetronic recognizes this and will be able to impartially apply their considerable resources and expertise to providing the most suitable solution to their clients in all applications.”

As the market leaders, Ampetronic and Listen Technologies will bring the full range of high-quality assistive listening solutions and unrivalled support, coupled with next-day inventory availability and free expert advice, to the UK for the first time – all of which is great news for the people who experience hearing loss and actually use the systems, as both companies have a strong commitment to manufacturing and specifying solutions that provide a high-quality listening experience.
