Show Snapshots: InfoComm 2011, Part 2

Every year, there's tons to see at InfoComm, and the 2011 edition was no exception to the rule. Between new products being released, new technologies being touted and a new, optimistic outlook for the industry's future that was shared by the thousands of attendees, there was a lot to take in. Here's a few more sights around the floor of this year's InfoComm.

Every year, there’s tons to see at InfoComm, and the 2011 edition was no exception to the rule. Between new products being released, new technologies being touted and a new, optimistic outlook for the industry’s future that was shared by the thousands of attendees, there was a lot to take in. Here’s a few more sights around the floor of this year’s InfoComm.

Middle Atlantic Products’ Mike Baker (left) and John Selldorff, president and CEO of Legrand, celebrate Legrand’s acquisition of Middle Atlantic Products during a reception at the Middle Atlantic Products booth.

Mark Flanagan, marketing and communications, Lab.gruppen, talked shop at the Tannoy booth about Tannoy’s self-powered “VXP” versions—the first product of its type to feature both Tannoy and Lab.gruppen technologies, created as a collaboration between the two brands.
D&M Professional exhibited contractor/system integrator products, including Denon’s DBP-2012UDCIP and DBP-1611UDP universal audio/video Blu-ray players. Shown (l-r): Wendy Charak, national sales manager; Karl Gustafson, director of marketing; and Brian Aiken, applications engineer.
At the International Business Center, InfoComm is promoted its global family of tradeshows under the banner “Where in the World Will You Exhibit Next?” The network is expanding, with new opportunities in Latin America and the Middle East joining established shows in Europe, Russia and Asia. Pictured (l-r): Elisabeth Kondakow, international exhibition sales manager, Integrated Systems Events; Mike Blackman, managing director, Integrated Systems Events; and Cassy Pristas, international exhibition sales manager, InfoComm International.
InfoComm’s Moscow tradeshow, Integrated Systems Russia (ISR), is moving to a larger venue this year due to growing exhibitor demand. Russia will host the soccer World Cup in 2018, and InfoComm is jointly developing a pre-show conference program titled “Innovative Technologies for Sport Facilities” with its local show partner MidExpo. Pictured (l-r): Anna Tarasyuk, conference project manager, ISR; Daria Petrova, show director, ISR; Scott Wills, CTS-D, CTS-I, director of international education and member services, InfoComm International; and Alyona Burtseva, show manager, ISR.

Jesse Fishman, CTS-D, of Westlake Reed Leskosky, was the winner of InfoComm’s social media contest. Fishman, who had attended the Show before, would have been unable to attend this year due to travel cutbacks, but having won the contest, InfoComm covered his transportation and hotel costs.
