Videos: Grammy Week Salute to Quincy Jones & Al Schmitt
The Grammy Awards are known as "Music's Biggest Night," but if you're in the production side of the industry, an event like the annual Recording Academy Producers & Engineers Wing celebration comes in as a very close second. This year's P&E Wing event was held Wednesday night, celebrating the incredible accomplishments of legendary producer/engineers Quincy Jones and Al Schmitt, and as you can see from these videos, Pro Sound News and Pro Audio Review were on-hand in the form of editor-in-chief Frank Wells (who is AES President as well). Keeping it all in the family, interviewing everyone for these videos, just off-screen, was Sarah Jones, editor-in-chief of fellow NewBay Media magazine, MIX. The annual soirée is an invitation-only event, but checking out these videos is the next best thing to being there!
