New York, NY (September 17, 2014)—Demonstrating its professional line array system, RoomMatch, Bose Corporation’s pro audio division took up residence in the New World Stages in New York City’ Theater District recently, giving regional vendors and engineers a chance to check out the system. The demo was hosted by Bose’s territory sales manager for New York and New Jersey, Al Spinelli, and featured a detailed presentation on the speaker systems by Bose Professional field engineer Eric Warner.

During the presentation, Warner underlined differences between the RoomMatch system and other line array systems. For the demo, three line arrays were arranged above the stage, with the left array consisting of one RM602805, two RM602810s, and two RM603520s. The right array consisted on one RM286005, two RM286010s, and two RM356020s. The center array had three boxes, one RM9010, one RM9020, and one RM9040. This design, said Warner, was specified to eliminate dead spots typically created by traditional line array systems. A variety of song selections were played through the speakers to demonstrate its versatility, including a few Electronic Dance Music tracks to show off the power of the speakers accompanied by the RMS215 and RMS218 subwoofers.

Following the demo, Journey tribute band Voyage gave a live concert for all attendees, using the system installed for the demo. A RMU208 speaker, typically used for under balcony fill and stage monitoring, was set up on stage for the band’s monitor system.

The Bose RoomMatch line includes 42 different module models (excluding subs and under balcony fills). Each module holds six compression filters, and the curvature of the throat openings can change to five different vertical angles, at 5, 10, 20, 40 and 60 degrees, depending on the venue.
