It’s been a busy time for French Montana—December saw the release of the rapper’s third album, Montana, featuring collaborations with the likes of Drake, Post Malone, Cardi B., ASAP Rocky and Chris Brown. Now he’s put his 7,786-square-foot mansion in Hidden Hills, CA on the market for a whopping $6,599,000—twice the $3.3 million he paid in 2016 when he bought it from starlet Selena Gomez. That price reflects extensive remodeling to the house, along with the installation of a $400,000 recording facility in a guesthouse on the 3.1-acre estate. So let’s take a look inside French Montana’s home studio.

While the mansion’s Realtor.com listing doesn’t mention whether the equipment stays with the studio, listing photos reveal the facility is centered around a 32-channel Avid ICON D-Control ES console. On either side of the desk sit a pair of Focal Twin6 Be 6.5″ 3-way powered studio monitors. Most other gear in the control room—for instance, in the two-rack credenza—is obscured in the listing photos, but the shots highlight the modern interior of the creative space, including the rear diffusion wall, customized with French Montana’s initials.
Inside The Home
The rest of the estate, located inside gated community Mureau Estates, certainly has a lot to offer its next occupant, as the house, built in 2004, has five bedrooms, six baths, five fireplaces, a gym, a wine cellar, movie theatre, four-car garage and parking for more than 10 cars. Meanwhile, the outside features a Viking outdoor kitchen, complete with pizza oven, solar panels and a courtyard.

Despite the renovation and new studio, it remains to be seen whether Montana can get his asking price. Gomez originally put the house on the market at $4.5 million in 2015, dropping the asking price three times over the course of six months until Montana bought it in 2016.
