Hollywood, CA (October 20, 2014)—Hollywood, CA-based Audio Rents Inc. is the first US company to purchase a new JoeCo BlackBox BBR1MP Recorder, JoeCo announced during the 137th AES Convention.
Two systems were delivered to the Hollywood-based pro audio rental company earlier last week and went out the next day to provide a 48-channel recording system with integrated microphone preamps for live recording at Hollywood’s Whisky A Go-Go club.
JoeCo’s BBR1MP Recorder is the latest addition to the manufacturer’s family of Recorders and Players. The 24-channel, stand-alone, live audio recorder delivers standard BlackBox functionality, while also featuring 24 high-quality microphone preamps, operating at up to 24-bit/96 kHz, which are integrated into the recorder’s 1U housing.
“We were very excited when we saw the new BlackBox with mic pres at NAMM back in January,” said Bob Burton of Audio rents Inc. “It provided an easy, compact solution for our customers who were renting two JoeCo’s as a 48-track recorder along with six 8-channel mic pres. We took delivery of our first two units on Tuesday afternoon, and by Wednesday, they were operating flawlessly at the sound check, ready for that night’s performance.”
