Austin, TX (July 31, 2013)—After opening its doors on April 1, 2013, the Austin Audio Academy will hold its grand opening on Saturday, August 17 to celebrate the start of the new school.
The event will be held from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Soundcheck Austin, 1901 East 51st St., in the “big room.” Local radio personality Bob Fonseca will be the master of ceremonies, which will include live music by Dale Watson & the Lonestars, along with food and drinks, and a free drum tuning and miking clinic.
A number of the academy’s sponsors, including Fender, Gretsch, LP and The Musician’s Woodshed, have donated items to give away at the event. The Austin Audio Academy will also be giving away free workshops and t-shirts to lucky winners at the event.
The Austin Audio Academy was created to teach students the skills to become successful in the live audio business.
