Now touring to promote his latest album, A New Day at Midnight, David Gray brought his four-piece band to San Francisco’s Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in mid-February before heading off to Europe and Australia.

Gray’s longtime studio collaborator, Iestyn Polson, also mixes FOH on tour. Polson uses an all-digital InnovaSon console, though he complements the board’s onboard facilities with a wide array of analog gear: Focusrite Producer packs, Distressors, Focusrite Red EQ, a Lexicon 480, Pultecs, Summits, SPX-1000s, SPX-900s, a PCM 90, a PCM 70, Roland delays and an Avalon DI. The JBL sound system, supplied by SSE, is supplemented with Nexo subs, and the size of the array is determined by the size of each venue. Gray sings into a Shure SM57A.
