Nashville, TN (March 31, 2021)—DCR Nashville has brought on industry veteran Paul Owen as its new company president.

Joining the existing DCR Nashville team of CEO and founder Howard Jones, general manager John Schirmer and VP of Sales and Marketing Jennifer Moore, Owen brings with him more than 40 years of music industry and production experience. He is the previous VP of Thunder Audio and, most recently, the former GM of Solotech Nashville, having built upon a career that started by working his way up on the road, mixing for the biggest names in touring.

Founder Howard Jones, noted, “For the foreseeable future, the pandemic will continue to bring many changes and opportunities to our industry. Some of these changes will be difficult and others are not. In what has been a year of difficult decisions, the opportunity to add Paul Owen to the DCR Nashville executive team is the perfect example of an easy decision. The addition of a longtime friend and industry legend such as Paul to the team here at DCR will help prepare ourselves to embrace all that is to come. Paul’s experience will be invaluable as we lay the groundwork for what will be going forward.”

“I am very honored to be offered and gladly accept the President’s position with this well-established company and brand,” said Owen. “DCR Nashville and I have had a close working relationship for many years and I’ve watched it grow into the respected company it is today. Obviously, the startup of our industry is dictated by many factors post COVID, but I could not think of a better place to be when it starts back up again. I look forward to working closely with Howard and his team and jumping back on the music industry’s fast riding train we all have all missed so much.”

Owen’s addition comes as the full-service event production company prepares to expand its facility to better serve its clientele and their individual production needs; the additional square footage will increase warehouse capacity, prep areas and a newly designed service department.
