HK Audio E110 Sub AS Powered Subwoofer

HK Audio announced the E 110 Sub AS ($1,299.99 street price) at Winter NAMM 2014, a new bi-amplified subwoofer in the company's modular and reconfigurable Elements portable line array series. The E 110 Sub AS packs two 600-watt Class-D power amps into one portable 2x10-inch subwoofer, allowing it to power an Elements passive E 110 Sub in addition to up to four Elements series E435 (or two E835) midrange/high units, in order to offer a more powerful setup with fewer components in a smaller footprint.

Like all Elements modules, the E 110 Sub A is compact and light. Its footprint is smaller than that of a traditional tripod, and its aesthetic matches the other modules in the Elements series.

HK Audio’s Elements system merges the benefits of modern line array technology with the portability and easy handling of ultra-compact P.A. systems. Line array technology offers listeners natural, well-defined audio at every spot in the room. The audio signal is evenly dispersed-not too loud up front; not too soft in the back. Elements can be used as a stage monitor as well, since it’s not susceptible to feedback. It can also be easily transported and set up in a few minutes with the built-in E-Connect coupler/bus that eliminates most cabling.

HK Audio states that the E 110 Sub AS will be available in March 2014.
