Hove Festival Taps JBL VTX

Oslo-based production company Frontline used Harman JBL VTX line arrays on the main stage of Norway’s annual summer music festival, the Hove Festival.

Northridge, CA (July 26, 2012)—Oslo-based production company Frontline used Harman JBL VTX line arrays on the main stage of Norway’s annual summer music festival, the Hove Festival.

A dozen JBL VTX V25 line array loudspeakers were flown from each side of the stage and four VerTec VT4886 subcompact line array loudspeakers were suspended below the hangs to provide down fill.

An additional two groups of four VT4886 speakers operated as front fills and eight VTX S28 subwoofers were ground stacked on each side of the stage. A dozen Crown VRacks with I-Tech HD 12000 amps powered the system.

The system supported numerous performers, including Snoop Dogg, Skrillex, LostProphets, Lana Del Rey, Emeli Sande and Ed Sheeran during the four-day festival.

Frontline project manager Per Marius Larsen said this was the company’s first time using the VTX system: “From our point of view, the result was excellent and we are proud to have supplied our client with this level of sound production.”
