Brakpan, South Africa (November 25, 2014)—The Idol singing competition franchise is popular around the world, and South Africa’s edition, Idols SA, held its season finale on November 23, when competitor Vincent Bones won the season.
An assortment of wired and wireless Shure microphones were used exclusively during the show Microphones ranging from the standard SM58 vocal microphone, to the SM87 and Shure 55SH, which were used during the season.
Shure wireless systems featured included 24 channels of ULX-D, as well as 20 channels of PSM 900 personal monitors for all the artists. Monitors for all music performances were mixed by a team from Audio Logic and RF Management was through Shure’s Wireless Workbench.
