New York (October 17, 2007)–InnovaSon’s Czech distributor, Music Data recently displayed the company’s new Eclipse digital console at the Muzika Expo trade show in Prague, dedicating a specially commissioned OB van to showcase the desk–a move that apparently spurred two preliminary orders at the show.
According to Music Data’s Tomas Ourednicek, the show was a huge success. “We decided to present Eclipse in an OB van that we had painted with Eclipse graphics especially for the show. It gave us an ideal environment in which to present the console away from the distractions and noise of the show floor. All of our customers loved the new control surface.”
Ourednicek also took his first orders for Eclipse at the show: the first from a rental company who already has Sy48 in its inventory. The second customer plans to use Eclipse on theatre tours for music shows.
InnovaSon’s director of sales and marketing, Xavier Pion, noted that Music Data was not alone in its reception of Eclipse. “The reaction of our international distributor network has been fantastic, and that has been reflected in our order book,” he noted. “So far, we’ve notched up sales to China, we have orders pending throughout Europe, and, of course, in France. It’s an extremely encouraging start and we look forward to it gathering momentum as we get ramped up to full production in the New Year.”
Eclipse will be shown at the forthcoming SIEL in Paris and at WFX in Dallas in November, in addition to numerous demonstrations and training sessions scheduled across Europe before the end of the year.
