Kaltman IWxLive Goes To Grand Prix

United Kingdom (July 30, 2012)—A Kaltman Creations’ Invisible Waves X RF Command Center, manned by audio engineer Samantha Graham, aided a recent F1 Grand Prix event held in the United Kingdom.

With a challenge to ensure the low-power wireless devices on site worked with the high-power broadcast systems, Graham provided the audio and production for the race from the IWxLive RF Command Center.

“Upon the arrival of each new piece of RF, I would take note of its frequency and create a master panel for it on the IWxLive RF Command Center, so I could see how much power it was generating,” Graham said. “The good thing about having this software running in the background is that it takes all of the guesswork out of doing frequencies. “

Graham said the IWxLive system has the ability to scan a large bandwidth of 1 kHz to 1.8 gHz, but can go up to 3.5 gHz. The unit also comes with a mini-jack, allowing the user to hear or monitor a particular frequency while connected to a laptop input.

“There were a couple of time during set up when this feature was handy, such as checking that frequencies were clear of interference prior to the receivers being patched into the stage-box,” Graham said.
