New York, NY (February 27, 2014)—Christian rock act Loftland is on the road in support of its sophomore release, I Don’t Wanna Dance, carrying an RCF HDL-20A line array rig.
Loftland is joined Jonathan Thulin, Shine Bright Baby and Silverline on a tour that is scheduled to run through April. Loftland is providing production with the RCF system, comprised of eight HDL20-A dual 10” two way line array boxes hoisted on Genie lifts, two SUB-8006AS double 18” subwoofers and two HD10-As for front fills.
On the choice of RCF, Loftland’s guitarist Tanner Gibbs said, “We wanted a system that would provide the sonic quality we are used to as well as the flexibility required for the different sized venues we perform in. One night we could be at a church that seats 300 and the next at a festival performing for a crowd of 5,000. he system has worked great for us. We toured this past summer and easily covered crowds of a couple thousand people at our festival appearances.” Festivals the band played included Off The Charts festival in North Dakota and Wisconsin’s Good Neighbor Festival.
While they enjoy performing to larger crowds at festivals, the bulk of Loftland’s concerts are at community churches and youth centers. “Our music is meant to offer a positive message, not necessary worship,” said Gibbs. With a youth demographic, Loftland uses their music to present and uplifting life experience. Lyrically, Gibbs says they try to reach out with the message, especially to young girls, “that there are decent men out there,” downplaying the sensuality and sexuality traits of today’s society.
