Martin Rocks Country Festival

Sacramento Production Services provided a Martin Audio rig for KNCI’s Country in the Park show at Gibson Ranch National Park.

Elverta, CA (September 27, 2011)—Sacramento Production Services provided a Martin Audio rig for KNCI’s Country in the Park show at Gibson Ranch National Park.

A crowd of 12,000 came out to see the show, held by the Sacramento, CA-area “new country” FM station. On hand for the event were Billy Currington, Joe Nichols, Brett Eldredge, Steve Holy, Love and Theft, The Chris Gardner Band, and Jaron and the Long Road to Love.

Sacramento Production Services (SACPS) fielded a dozen Martin Audio W8LC enclosures a side to cover the crowd. SACPS’ Steve Palmer noted, “We were limited by the space and ability to hang more boxes, but the W8LCs are so efficient, we never had to push them to get the coverage, volume or sound quality we needed.”

Lab.gruppen PLM20000 amplifiers provided amplification for the show, while a Yamaha PM5D console was used for Front of House, and a 48-channel Yamaha M7CL console for monitors.

In addition to Palmer who was overseeing the production, the Sacramento Production Services crew included Dwayne Wise (FOH), Rick Stansby (Monitors) and company manager Keith Wackford acting as System Tech.

The Martin Audio lineup also included one S218 and one W8C per side for sidefills, six WT2s for front fill and 12 LE12J stage monitors. Palmer felt the sound throughout the show was “absolutely phenomenal. Our client was very pleased with the results and so were the performers.”
