Meyer Sound Promotes Trio

Berkeley, CA (November 30, 2010)--Meyer Sound has promoted three veteran members of its technical support team: Luke Jenks, John Monitto and Oscar Barrientos. Jenks ha been named product manager for loudspeakers products, Monitto has been elevated to director of technical support worldwide and Barrientos has become technical services manager for Latin America.

Berkeley, CA (November 30, 2010)–Meyer Sound has promoted three veteran members of its technical support team: Luke Jenks, John Monitto and Oscar Barrientos. Jenks ha been named product manager for loudspeakers products, Monitto has been elevated to director of technical support worldwide and Barrientos has become technical services manager for Latin America.

In his new position, Jenks will work closely with Meyer Sound’s engineering, education and marketing personnel to provide both dealers and end-users with expertise and resources on the operation and performance of new Meyer Sound loudspeakers. With Meyer Sound since 1989, Jenks was formerly director of European technical support. Transitioning to his new role, he recently managed the introductions of the JM-1P arrayable and MINA line-array loudspeakers.

A key member of Meyer Sound’s technical support team for 13 years, Monitto now assumes global responsibilities as director of technical support worldwide. He will take direct responsibility for management of overseas technical support staff in addition to supervising support activities in the U.S.

Based in Mexico, Barrientos will assume overall responsibility for technical support, design services and education throughout Latin America. He started his career with Meyer Sound in 2003 in Mexico City. Over the years, he has taken on increasing technical support responsibilities in addition to his primary role as a lead instructor for Meyer Sound’s growing educational program.
