Curry, AL (March 9, 2015)—Mount Vernon Baptist Church in Curry, Alabama recently upgraded its sound system in order to provide a better worship experience for parishioners. Key to the audio renovation were new loudspeakers from Galaxy Audio.
The system was designed and installed by Thompson Sound of Trinity AL, which ultimately went with Galaxy Audio gear for upgrading the system. Now center and balcony coverage of the main sanctuary is handled by a pair of CR12 speakers, while two CR15 speakers were also installed for left and right fill on the lower portion of the sanctuary, in order to provide full coverage for the seated congregation.
A Galaxy Audio DS-SP24 2×4 digital signal processor was installed in the rack system for management of the system. Helping to ensure that the church maximizes its investment, there are currently plans for a new sanctuary to be built in the coming years, and the various Galaxy Audio components will be repurposed into the new system, expanding the life of the components.
