New Covenant Updates with A&H

New Covenant Christian Ministries recently worked with dB Integrations of Gainesville, Georgia to update its audio system with a variety of new mixers from Allen & Heath covering FOH, broadcast and personal monitoring.

Lithonia, GA (November 9, 2017)—New Covenant Christian Ministries recently worked with dB Integrations of Gainesville, Georgia to update its audio system with a variety of new mixers from Allen & Heath covering FOH, broadcast and personal monitoring.

In all, the church now has an Allen & Heath dLive S Class desk at front of house, a GLD-80 console for broadcast and ME-1 Personal Monitors for the on-stage musicians.

The FOH position is adorned with an S5000 Surface, DM48 MixRack and DX32 Expander. Corey Moorehead, head audio technician at New Covenant, received dLive Certification at an Allen & Heath training session and now sets up the dLive for the volunteers who mix the church’s two Sunday worship services, holiday productions and frequent special events, using on-board effects as needed: “Once and a while I’ll throw an echo or a plate on the praise team or the choir,” he says. “That warms things up nicely.”

Inputs from the FOH dLive also travel via Dante networking to the Allen & Heath GLD-80 digital mixing system used for broadcast, as the church airs its second service each Sunday via live streaming. The dLive inputs likewise also go to the stage, landing in Allen & Heath ME-1 personal monitor mixers that provide in-ear feeds for New Covenant’s band and for the floor wedges used by the praise team and the choir. Moorehead noted, “The band loves the ME-1s. Whatever I have on the dLive, they can pull it in and detail their own mix.”
