NFL Draft Picks Meyer Sound

The NFL Draft is underway in Chicago, and while teams will be looking to add new faces to their rosters, the event’s audio provider, VER (Video Equipment Rentals) has brought along a familiar part of its own audio team—a Meyer Sound Lyon linear line array system, being used to cover all 3,901 seats inside the Auditorium Theatre.

Chicago, IL (May 1, 2015)—The NFL Draft is underway in Chicago, and while teams will be looking to add new faces to their rosters, the event’s audio provider, VER (Video Equipment Rentals) has brought along a familiar part of its own audio team—a Meyer Sound Lyon linear line array system, being used to cover all 3,901 seats inside the Auditorium Theatre.

In addition to the Lyon line array loudspeakers, the Meyer Sound complement for the program also comprises JM-1P arrayable loudspeakers, MM-4XP loudspeakers with IntelligentDC technology, 700-HP subwoofers, and a Galileo loudspeaker management system with Galileo Callisto array processors. Outside, for the Red Carpet arrivals, VER is providing a separate Meyer Sound system using UPQ-1P and UPJ-1P loudspeakers.

Warren Cruikshank and Wilson Tennermann of VER are tackling project management and coordination for the nationwide live broadcast and deployment of the multi-zoned audio system.

The ceremonies mark the first time that the NFL Draft has been held outside New York City since 1964. The venue for this year’s event, formally known as the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, was originally completed in 1889 and was fully restored in 1967.
