RCF Powers Columbian Independence Fest

4sound Group, a Doral, Fl-based sound company, brought a complete RCF sound system to the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Fl for the Columbian Independence Music Festival.

Edison, NJ (August 21, 2013)—4sound Group, a Doral, Fl-based sound company, brought a complete RCF sound system to the Sun Life Stadium in Miami, Fl for the Columbian Independence Music Festival.

“We brought out a complete RCF TTL33-A rig for the event,” Joaquin Gonzalez, president of 4sound Group explains. “Without any delay towers, we still had 98 dB SPL at 560 feet. It did an outstanding job; the folks from Congo de Oro Productions were extremely happy.”

The open-air, all-day event drew electronic and dance music lovers with a lineup that included Jorge Celedón, Grupo Niche and Fonseca, with other featured artists including Silvestre Dangond, Zacarías Ferreira and Plan B.

The stage featured TTL33-A II line arrays, with 16 per side—hung on scaffolding to the left and right of the stage. Three TTS36-A subwoofers were stacked below each array. A dozen more subs, this time the TTS28-A, were stacked 2×6 in front of the stage to provide low-end.

4sound provided side fill coverage with two loudspeaker stacks on stage left and right, each consisting of three TTL33-A modules and one TTS28 subwoofer. Four TT22-As handled front fill duties.

“We also supplied a full complement of RCF stage monitors for the event,” added Gonzalez. “Four TT45-SMAs were the main monitors with another 12 TT25-SMAs in use by musicians and performers throughout the stage.”
