Soundcraft Vi2 Digital Console
Built in a frame that’s barely 33 inches wide, the Vi2 handles up to 96 channels using the standard stage box and local rack hardware for FOH, monitor or sidecar duties. Touch the Vistonics master section screen, and any eight inputs assign onto the faders for full control of channel parameters, EQ, auxes, groups, etc. All the usual processing is accessible via the Local Rack, including the 30-band graphics to which access is provided via the eight output section faders. All Vi2 Show files are compatible with Vi4 and Vi6 consoles.
Audix FP5 Fusion Drum Mics
Designed for miking a five-piece kit, the FP5 Fusion Drum Pack ($559 MSRP) features a new series of Audix dynamic mics: the F6 for kick, the F5 for snare, and three F2s for rack and floor toms. Each mic has a snap-to-fit DCLIP stand adapter, and the entire system is packaged in a heavy-duty, custom aluminum carrying case.
MultiRack software lets Mac/PC laptop users (with an ASIO- or Core Audio-compliant I/O device and iLok) run multiple instances of native Waves plug-ins — compressors, reverbs, equalizers, delays, limiters and more — on any console. Features include automation, latency compensation and two plug-ins: the IR1 convolution reverb and H-Delay.
