Sound Works Pro Brings Nexo to Chicago Women’s March

Sound Works Productions had to cover a crowd of more than 300,000 at Chicago’s Women’s March.

Chicago, IL (February 1, 2018)—Mokena, IL-based Sound Works Productions faced the challenge of covering more than 300,000 marchers on January 20 at Chicago’s Women’s March for women’s rights and social justice, one of many across the country. Sound Works provided audio oni the streets and the stage with a Nexo Geo S120 line array system.

The front of house stage PA consisted of 16 Nexo Geo S1210 line array speakers, six 4×4 NXAmps, and four Nexo PS10s used for fills. For the six delay towers, Sound Works Pro used four Nexo Geo S1210 speakers per tower with four 4×4 NXAmps (one per tower).

“The Women’s March is an event that comes with the need for a lot of sound reinforcement, but with little time to actually set up,” said Daniel Nickleski, COO/Operations of Sound Works Productions.

“From street closures to the event start just a few hours later—and coverage needing to range two full city blocks—we turned to our Nexo Geo S12 line array system for its ease of set up, light weight, and sound quality.”
