Yankovic Keyboardist Takes On Galaxy

When Weird Al Yankovic hits the stage, part of what makes his parodies work so well is the note-perfect renditions from his backing band. That level of aural authenticity comes from hours of rehearsal—a process that for longtime keyboard director Rubén Valtierra has been aided by the Galaxy PA6S powered hot spot personal PA system.

That level of aural authenticity comes from hours of rehearsal—a process that for longtime keyboard director Rubén Valtierra has been aided by the Galaxy PA6S powered hot spot personal PA system.

“After years of wishing for a small, powered speaker for my small private gigs and rehearsals, my dreams have been answered a hundred-fold,” said Valtierra. “Transparent and beyond powerful, the PA6S speakers deliver brilliance and a bottom not to be expected in such a small package. I am able to play 6-7 note, Full piano chords, organ and synth leads at sustained high levels without any distortion, yet maintaining a brilliant clarity that fills rooms much larger than I thought capable of.”

Valtierra has been the keyboard director for Weird Al Yankovic since 1991, and is an accomplished solo and group performer. When not touring, Rubén is active writing and producing, along with leading his group, VLO – Valtierra Latin Orchestra
