Ace Audio owner Mike Goodreau with the new Adamson S-Series line array.
Ace Audio, located in Middletown, Conn., has been providing top quality sound reinforcement systems for public, private and corporate events since 1993. Recently the company expanded its inventory with the addition of an S-Series line array from Adamson.
“We do a lot of regional events and I had been looking to expand our inventory,” explains Mike Goodreau, owner of Ace Audio. “When I heard the S10 line array and saw how versatile it was, I knew it would be exactly what we needed.”
Goodreau took delivery of 16 S10 cabinets and eight S119 subwoofers. The S10 is a 2-way, full range, sub-compact line array enclosure ideal for mid-size arenas, theaters, churches and dance clubs, as well as outdoor festivals. It is loaded with two newly designed 10-inch ND10-LM Kevlar Neodymium low frequency drivers and a 4-inch voice coil with 1.5-inch exit high frequency compression driver mounted to a wave shaping sound chamber. The S10 offers tremendous output (max peak SPL 141.3 dB) for such a compact enclosure.
The companion S119 subwoofer is equipped with a light-weight, long excursion, 19-inch ND19 Kevlar Neodymium driver utilizing Adamson’s Advanced Cone Architecture and a 5-inch voice coil for exceptional power handling. It is mounted in an ultra-efficient front-loaded enclosure, designed to reproduce clean, musical low frequency information at very high sound pressure levels.
S-Series systems are typically packaged with companion E-racks. The E-rack incorporates Lab.gruppen amplification, combined with versatile I/O and industry standard power connections, as well as a 20-port managed Ethernet switch to route dual-redundant Dante and control signal.
“We take a lot of pride in providing only top of the line equipment to our customers,” concludes Goodreau. “The Adamson S-Series is a welcome addition to our inventory. The sound quality and flexibility of the system is very impressive. I’m confident it will be kept extremely busy here at Ace Audio.”
