AKG Hosts “The Art of Technology—The Technology of Art”

AKG Acoustics recently hosted presentations entitled “The Art of Technology—The Technology of Art” and concerts at the Austrian Embassy in Washington, D.C., and at Austrian Cultural Forum in New York City.

AKG Acoustics recently hosted presentations entitled “The Art of Technology—The Technology of Art” and concerts at the Austrian Embassy in Washington, D.C., and at Austrian Cultural Forum in New York City.

Both events featured concerts by the Vienna-based trio Machiner/Barnert/Filz, whose music mixes jazz, classical and traditional styles. Since the group’s beginning in the spring of 1997, they have been involved in projects with American singers James Moore and Marjorie Vance and have performed at venues such as the Vienna Musikverein and Vienna Konzerthaus.

“The Art of Technology—The Technology of Art” traced the contributions of Austrians to art, science, music and modern innovations. The presentation was made by Christina Burkhardt, international press officer of AKG Acoustics from Vienna. Kevin Madden, market development manager for installed sound products at AKG Nashville, also presented the latest AKG products and technologies, including the new Discreet Acoustics Compact gooseneck microphones, the WMS 4000 wireless system and the C 414B-XL family of large-diaphragm condenser microphones.

At the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York, the seminar and concert were held with an art exhibit and a presentation of the new AKG Hearo 999 Audiosphere II.
