Alan Meyerson Adds DHDI ZR Acoustics in Hans Zimmer’s Facility

Delta H Design Inc. (DHDI) in Marina Del Rey, Calif., the leader in Quantum Acoustics, announces the use of ZR Acoustics Quantum Devices in Alan Meyerson’s premier music studio at Hans Zimmer’s Remote Control facility in Santa Monica. Two SR8+’s quantize the first reflections behind both the left and right monitors.

SR8+’s offer ZR Hybrid Technology with Extreme Acoustic Resolution values of more than 450 NPS/square foot (non-parallel surfaces).

Meyerson mixes music for film, television, and all media. He has worked on hundreds of films including The Dark Knight, Captain America, Gladiator, Interstellar, and Pirates of the Caribbean.

While already pleased with his studio, Meyerson initially wanted to make a few basic acoustic improvements. However, once he heard a ZR Acoustics demo in his own studio, he immediately realized he was able to raise the bar to an entirely new level.

“I expected ZR to make a noticeable difference, but I really didn’t expect such a dramatic improvement,” Meyerson says. “I thought it would be about 20-percent better, but it’s more like 87-percent better, and with only two pieces!”

Phase 2 of Meyerson’s acoustic renovation will strategically place additional ZR devices in critical areas, further enhancing Imaging, Dimensionality and Sweet Spot Diameter.

“The low end got tighter and clearer while the overall imaging grew larger,” Meyerson adds. “It kept the life in the sound and the inspiration in the music rather than just deadening the sound.”
