Alcons Audio showed its LR16 pro ribbon line array module and the recently launched LR16B double 15-inch NeoDymium driver bandpass supplement at the recent PLASA show. The LR14, Alcons’ ultracompact line array module, features the patented RBN401 pro ribbon driver. Designed as either an ultracompact line array system or as an underfill of the LR16, the LR14 has a dispersion pattern of 120×15 degrees. Its 800-watt peak power handling offers similar dynamic response as the larger LR16.
In addition, Alcons previewed its new Q Series, the company’s new product range of modular line source array columns featuring new pro ribbon transducer technology. The series is designed to provide intelligibility in acoustically challenging environments. The scalable ribbon arrays combine a high directivity with completely controlled dispersion.
