Allen & Heath mixers have been installed in the 12,0000-capacity Siemens Arena in the Lithuanian capital of Vilnius. Allen & Heath’s distributor, UAB Music Express, selected a ML5000 VCA live sound console, GL2200 dual-function mixer and an iDR DSP system for the venue, which is the biggest and most advanced music and sports stadium in the Baltic States.
The arena is technically equipped to cater a variety of uses, including music concerts and sporting events, via a holistic IS control protocol for the environment (heating and ventilation), lighting, visual, sound and security systems. The GL2200 is the arena’s main audio console, controlling all sound output, including audio from a video cube. Audio is managed and distributed by the iDR-8 digital mixing processor.
One of the most prestigious events in the Lithuanian music calendar was held in the arena earlier this year. The national radio station, Radio Centras, presented awards to the country’s top music groups, and the UK group Right Said Fred performed. The ML5000 was used to manage FOH sound with Electro-Voice X-Line speaker system.
