Architectural Acoustics debuted several new products at the NSCA show in Orlando. Fla., this year, including the S-32 console mixer, Sanctuary Series S-4 and SA-4200.

The Sanctuary Series S-32 is a 32-channel mixer designed with several user-friendly features designed to simplify operation, including Peavey-exclusive technologies such as Automix™, Feedback Ferret® and Mid-Morph™ EQ. The Sanctuary Series S-32 will be available in Q2 2005.

The S-32 features an extensive output stage digital processing section with programmable presets for creating specialized effects. For example, users can program multiple Feedback Ferrets, EQs (graphic or parametric) or effects for future recall. This section also includes two digitally processed Auto Delay™ outputs for setting speaker delays for balcony, overflow seating or nursery areas. A built-in USB output can stream audio directly to a computer for digital recording and playback.

Features include 28 XLR mic and ¼-inch line inputs; eight Automix channels with compressors; two stereo line channels with three input selections, track selection and Monitor Blend control for split-accompaniment tracks; variable low-cut filter on the microphone (mono) inputs; 4-band EQ with low and high shelf, mid-frequency and Mid-Morph; post-fader and post-EQ direct outputs on the mono channels; and more.

The Sanctuary Series, which originally debuted at Winter NAMM in late January 2005, had two new additions to show at NSCA, including the series’ S-4, a plug-in/stand-alone version of the Automix™ technology, and will be available in Q2 2005. The S-4 mixer can be used as a plug-in or stand-alone mixer, and up to 10 S-4 units can be linked together via TRS cables to provide up to 40 gain shared inputs.

Architectural Acoustics also debuted the Sanctuary Series SA-4200, a 4-channel power amplifier designed specially for houses of worship. The SA-4200 utilizes Auto Delay™ technology to automatically measure and set the proper delay time for fill speakers.

The Sanctuary Series SA-4200 mixer will be available in Q2 2005 and features four channels rated at 200 watts each into 4 ohms or 70 volts (selectable in 2-channel pairs). The SA-4200 was designed for delivering power to both main and balcony/fill speakers, as well as other applications that may require multiple audio zones, such as cry rooms or paging systems in larger houses of worship.

Patent-pending Auto-Delay DSP technology allows the user to quickly set up delayed balcony and fill speakers systems as it measures the audio delay between the main speakers and fill speakers and automatically sets the time delay.
