Audio-Technica announced that it has re-engineered the UniPoint Series, adding functions to improve the microphone’s sonic quality, durability, clarity, reliability and ease of installation. The series will be available in June 2005.
New features for the UniPoint Series include RFI shielding, interchangeable elements (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine condenser), off-axis rejection, 80Hz UniSteep® filter, two-stage foam windscreen and more.
Featuring a range of 30 hanging, gooseneck, boundary and handheld microphones, the UniPoint Series includes the new UniPoint podium microphones (including RFI immunity and an improved easy-to-adjust gooseneck, new interchangeable condenser elements and the new miniature shotgun UniLine).
The UniPoint boundary microphone was designed for maximum flexibility and incorporates Audio-Technica’s new PivotPoint rotating output connector. The U891R, U891RW and U891RC boundary mics feature programmable switching and an LED status indicator for added control and flexibility.
The UniPoint hanging microphone was designed for suspension over choirs, instrumental groups and theater stages. The hanging microphones feature a low-profile design and are available in black or white. New interchangeable capsules (cardioid, hypercardioid, omnidirectional and UniLine) offer improved on-axis pickup.
The UniPoint U873R handheld hypercardioid microphone uses a low-mass condenser technology for smooth, accurate vocal reproduction. Interchangeable elements (cardioid and omnidirectional) are also available.
