Australian Monitor will launch the latest addition to its Installation Series, the AMIS ZRM4 Zone Routing Mixer, at InfoComm 2005 (Booth #1367, June 8 to 11, Las Vegas). The 1RU multi-zone signal routing solution offers six inputs that can each be routed to any combination of the four outputs. Features include equalization and filtering, front panel LED status indication, input priority override, remote volume control and an onboard alert chimes module.
The AMIS ZRM4 features six inputs, which can be balanced XLR mic or dual RCA/balanced XLR line-level—all of which may be selected to any combination of the four zone outputs via front panel switches, each with LED indication. Additionally, each input and output is provided with bi-color LED indication of signal presence and clipping.
All inputs include level control, two-stage (bass/treble) equalization, phantom power and a highpass filter. Optimal gain structure setups may be achieved using the internal gain trim, which provides a further +/-15 dB of level control on each input.
Input 1 may be designated as a paging input with priority over all other inputs and can be individually selectable on the front panel at each zone output. An onboard tones module generates four separately trigger-able and prioritized chimes. Evacuation and alert signals are automatically routed to all four outputs, while bell and pre-announce chimes are sent only to those outputs selected at Input 1.
Each output level may be remotely controlled using an Australian Monitor RC1 wall panel or other outboard level controller. The ZRM4 may be paired with the AMIS 480P 4-channel 80-watt line amplifier to provide a complete four-zone solution in three rack units.
