Avid announces support for Mac OS X Lion Version 10.7 with Pro Tools and Pro Tools HD Version 9.0.5 Beta software. The company states that while full qualification is not yet complete, Pro Tools software is now available for Lion only weeks after the new operating system’s introduction, and that it expects ill qualification of this new OS at a later time.
Avid also states: “Pro Tools beta software will contain minor bugs and issues that in most cases will not impact usability and performance. However, we recommend that users in mission critical applications do not use Lion and Pro Tools 9.0.5, and remain on a fully qualified platform.”
Additionally, Pro Tools 9.0.5 is fully qualified to work with OS X 10.6.x (Snow Leopard) and Windows 7.
