CAD Trion 6000, 7000 and 8000

CAD Professional Microphones introduced its Trion Series. The Trion 8000 (pictured) is a multi-pattern, externally biased, large dual-diaphragm studio tube condenser mic. It incorporates a precision-machined, hand-assembled capsule with low-mass 1.12-inch gold-vapor–deposited, hand-dampened diaphragms for producing a warm, rich and open classic tube sound. A three-position polar pattern switch provides selection of omnidirectional, cardioid or figure-8. The Trion 8000 also features discrete Class-A electronics.

The Trion 7000 is a dynamic, dual-element ribbon mic incorporating a precision-machined, hand-assembled aluminum ribbon capsule. The 7000 is designed for recording vocals, brass, woodwinds, cello and acoustic bass, as well as guitar and bass amps. It offers a figure-8 pickup pattern and promises a pronounced proximity effect. The mic offers a metal housing and construction for withstanding the demands of live and studio applications.

A three-position polar pattern switch allows the user to select omnidirectional, cardioid or figure-8. The mic also offers discrete Class-A electronics, as well as a highpass filter and attenuation switches located on the rear.
