NTI AG, a manufacturer of audio measurement equipment, announced the availability of the ML1-AL1 (pictured) crossgrade option for all Minilyzer customers. The new firmware crossgrade enables all ML1 owners to benefit from the latest developments implemented in the Acoustilyzer AL1, including the ability to conduct fast and robust speech-intelligibility measurements using STI-PA.
The shipment of the new handheld acoustical analyzer Acoustilyzer AL1 began in September. The AL1 is based on the Minilyzer ML1 hardware and is tailored for acoustical test applications. The Acoustilyzer is available as an independent instrument and a firmware package called ML1-AL1 crossgrade for all present Minilyzer users.
All worldwide Minilyzer customers with installed MiniLINK USB interface can load the new Acoustilyzer firmware package onto their instruments without any hardware modifications. The original Minilyzer firmware will be overwritten, but may be re-installed any time. This firmware exchange can be repeated without limitations.
The AL1 crossgrade firmware provides basic electrical, sound level meter with single and repeated timer control, real-time spectrum analyzer in 1/1 and 1/3-octave bands, FT analysis down to 0.7Hz resolution, reverberation time measurements, wireless propagation delay measurements; extensive memory functionalities and STI-PA speech intelligibility (optional). An audio CD containing a variety of helpful test signals is also included.
