Film composer Danny Elfman recently mastered the soundtrack album for director Tim Burton’s new film, Corpse Bride, at Bernie Grundman Mastering in L.A. with engineer Patricia Sullivan Fourstar (War of the Worlds, The Incredibles).

In addition to the Gothic atmospherics one would expect in a Tim Burton film, Elfman includes ditties performed by British actors such as Albert Finney, Joanna Lumley, Helena Bonham Carter, Jane Horrocks and Tracey Ullman. Even Elfman himself sings on “Remains of the Day.” He veers into New Orleans-style jazz on the last four tunes, credited to Bonejangles and His Bone Boys.

Elfman’s previous scoring credits include Burton’s Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Big Fish, Planet of the Apes, Sleepy Hollow, The Nightmare Before Christmas and Batman Returns. The film opened nationwide on September 23.
