With the help of new iLok support, Digidesign Pro Tools users can purchase and download Web licenses (or authorizations) from the DigiStore in real time. With this new functionality, Digidesign and Digidesign Development Partner plug-ins and other software options (such as DigiTranslator™) can be licensed at the point of sale, and then securely and immediately transferred directly to any inserted iLok USB Smart Key or deposited into a user’s iLok.com account.
Using the same Digistore purchase, download and licensing model, users can also rent from a platform that presently includes more than 40 plug-ins.
Rental periods include two, 14 and 31-day options. Once the rental expires, it can be renewed directly from the Pro Tools user interface with iLok’s 24-hour availability. Web plug-in licensing is compatible with all Windows XP- and Mac OS X–based Pro Tools systems.
