DiscLive Inc. announced that it will be providing its services at the Savoy Theater in London for the stage production of Lorna Luft’s (Judy Garland’s daughter) in Songs My Mother Taught Me. A limited edition of live discs will be made available for all shows, which started with the premiere on July 6—throughout the show’s run, which is scheduled to end in January 2005. Tickets are available at www.lornaluftatthesavoy.com.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to demonstrate the DiscLive concept not only in an exciting venue in the heart of London, but also to a completely new market segment,” noted Sami Valkonen, president of DiscLive. “This engagement is a significant step for us, and a continuation on our path to bring the DiscLive proposition fully to the European marketplace soon.”
Fredric D. Rosen and Susan Dietz, two of the show’s producers said, “We believe that this is a great product to offer our patrons that will give them the opportunity to continually enjoy the show. We look forward to working with DiscLive in initiating this unique service for London theatergoers.”
