The EAR Foundation was the official hearing protection provider for this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival, held September
15 to 17, 2006, in Zilker Park in Austin. The three-day festival showcased 180 bands on eight different stages, and the EAR Foundation provided hearing protection from Howard Leight, one of
the largest manufacturers of in-ear hearing protection in the United

"Hearing loss is an unfortunate consequence of working in a loud
environment," said Suzanne Wyatt, executive director of the EAR Foundation. "It is especially hard on those who work behind the
scenes in the music industry, who bring that magical music to all of
us who enjoy going to concerts and seeing our favorite artists. I am
so excited to partner with The Austin City Limits Festival because
this collaboration demonstrates that they are thought-leaders in
providing this level of caring service and protection to their staff,
volunteers and production personnel. It sets a good example for not
only those who work behind the scenes, but for the fans that see that protecting ones hearing is serious business. Howard Leight is
sponsoring the earplugs, and I just want to thank them for being such generous sponsors in helping us to accomplish our mission to protect and preserve the precious gift of hearing to as many people as we can."
